How to solve the three reasons of poor adhesion of plastic plating?

In general, multi-layer plating is used in plastic plating. If the operation is not strict, the phenomenon of poor bonding force such as blistering and peeling of the coating will often occur. The reason is no more than the following three kinds of effects.


(1) the influence of electroplating process: improper combination of electrodeposited layer, large temperature difference and serious stress of nickel layer will affect the binding force.


(2) the influence of activation: the factors of binding force are often ignored. If the activation layer is fully combined with the coarsened surface of the substrate, the chemical plating reaction will be even and the binding force will be firm. On the contrary, if there are few catalytic centers, uneven distribution of the activators and the presence of unreduced activators, the binding force will be affected. Sometimes, although the deposition is complete, there will be no good coating.


(3) the influence of chemical coarsening: the most direct influence factor of the bonding strength of plastic electroplating is the coarsening effect of the product. The coarsening is insufficient, the bonding strength is definitely not good, the coarsening is too much, the normal structure of the matrix is affected, and the bonding force is also not good, so it is very important to coarsen properly. From experience, after roughening, the surface is fully hydrophilic and lusterless, but there is no rough feeling.
